Rotary Screw Air Compressors with Dryers - AIRTOWER Compressed Air Station

Compressed air stations with integrated refrigerated dryer and air receiver

Airtower5C

KAESER has specially designed the rotary screw air compressors with dryers (*) in the AIRTOWER series for trades and crafts applications. Featuring a footprint of just 6.5 ft², they combine all of the components required for a compressed air supply beneath a single, durable polyethylene enclosure: a rotary screw compressor with the SIGMA PROFILE, a refrigerated dryer, and an air receiver.

Compressed air stations from the AIRTOWER series are available with the following performance specifications:

  • Pressure: 125, 160, or 217 psig
  • Flow rate range: 9 to 29 cfm

Your Benefits

  • Plug and play:
Our all-in-one compressed air systems require minimal effort when it comes to piping and installation. Simply connect the station to a power supply and your compressed air network and that’s it – you’re ready to go!
  • Protected from corrosion damage:
Thanks to the integrated refrigeration dryer, AIRTOWER systems deliver high-quality compressed air that protects your tools and equipment from corrosion damage.
  • Simple maintenance:
All maintenance points are easily accessible by lifting off the lightweight, removable enclosure constructed from rotomolded polyethylene. The electronic condensate drain can be inspected via a grille. Maintenance is simple and effective.
* This dryer series contains fluorinated greenhouse gases. All models contain refrigerant R-513A (GWP 631).

Why a Rotary Screw Air Compressor with Dryer Outperforms Separate Components

Buying a compressor, dryer, and tank as standalone units creates more than just a bigger parts list. It creates more installation work, more wiring runs, more potential leak points, and more touchpoints for a technician every service cycle.

The AIRTOWER eliminates that problem by housing the rotary screw airend, refrigerated dryer, and receiver tank inside a single pre-engineered, pre-wired enclosure. You get a rotary screw air compressor with a dryer designed to work as a system. The airend, cooling circuit, and dryer share a thermal management system, which means the unit runs more efficiently than a field-assembled equivalent at the same horsepower.

This also matters for air quality. Moisture in compressed air lines corrodes tooling, contaminates spray finishes, and can compromise pneumatic controls. Because the AIRTOWER's refrigerated dryer is sized and matched to the airend from the factory, it consistently achieves a 37°F pressure dew point across the entire rated flow range.

Built for the Demands of Real Shop Environments

Light industrial environments are not lab conditions. Dust, temperature swings, vibration from nearby machinery, and intermittent heavy draws are daily realities in woodworking shops, fabrication floors, and auto service bays. Our rotary screw air compressors with dryers can handle it all.

The AIRTOWER's double-walled roto-molded polyethylene enclosure withstands ambient abuse that would crack or corrode a sheet metal cabinet. The IP 54-rated control cabinet protects electrical components from dust ingress and water splashes, a standard that matters when compressed air and shop-cleaning equipment share the same space.

The IE3 premium efficiency motor adds a practical layer of protection here, too. Its insulation class F rating gives the motor a built-in thermal buffer, so it handles the kind of starts and stops common in shops running intermittent pneumatic tools without prematurely wearing down the motor windings.

Total Cost of Ownership: What the Spec Sheet Doesn't Show

Purchase price is one number. Operating cost over five or 10 years is a different conversation.

Kaeser's SIGMA PROFILE rotors use 10 to 20 percent less energy than conventional rotor profiles at the same flow output. For a shop running a 7.5 hp compressor at typical duty cycles, that efficiency margin translates into real savings on the electricity bill over time. The maintenance-free elastic belt drive removes re-tensioning labor from the service schedule entirely, and the zero-loss ECO DRAIN condensate system means you're not continuously venting compressed air just to remove water, a common hidden loss in time-delayed drain systems.

Our SIGMA CONTROL logs operational data to an SD card and supports Ethernet connectivity, so service history and performance trends are available without digging through manual logbooks. That documentation supports faster diagnostics and helps you plan preventive maintenance before a failure interrupts production.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the AIRTOWER handle back-to-back high-demand cycles, or is it designed strictly for intermittent use?

The AIRTOWER is rated for light industrial duty rather than continuous 100% duty cycle operation. For applications that require sustained, heavy, continuous draws, such as large production lines or high-cycle automation, we engineered our SX and SM series rotary screw compressors to meet those higher duty demands. A Kaeser representative can help you determine the right duty cycle for your air consumption profile.

What refrigerant does the integrated dryer use, and does it comply with current EPA regulations?

The AIRTOWER's refrigerated dryer uses R-513A, a CFC-free refrigerant with a global warming potential of 631, significantly lower than legacy refrigerants like R-22 or R-134a. R-513A is compliant with current EPA SNAP (Significant New Alternatives Policy) regulations and is not subject to the phasedown schedules affecting higher-GWP refrigerants under the AIM Act.

Is the AIRTOWER compatible with Kaeser's SIGMA NETWORK remote monitoring system?

Yes. The onboard SIGMA CONTROL includes Ethernet as a standard interface.
